Broken Man existed briefly in 1988 & again in 1990. The band consisted of Kevin McMahon (Guitar, Vocals), Eric Hermann (Drums), Paul Kompier (Bass, Vocals) & Keith Pickering (Guitar). Kevin put the band together after returning to Cleveland from San Francisco to try out some new songs he had written while away.

They played a total of 4 shows, all at the Phantasy in Lakewood, OH. Their setlists included songs that would go on to be hits for other artists ("Satisfy Me"), as well as songs that would resurface under other Kevin projects ("I Know it's Gonna Hurt", "Make Believe", "Charlie Goes To Paris").
