Home on the range
Is where you can find it
Ideal locations are so far away
A room with a view
Gets harder to come by
Skyline dissolving in the haze

I'm living in metro-metro
I'm standing in cellophane towers
I'm gliding down sidewalks, sideways
I'm slipping inside myself

The crowds in the square
Are turning in circles
They run through their mazes without fail
The girls in the windows
Flash terminal smiles
And turn with the fashion, revolving away

A walk in the dark
A tap on the shoulder
Like watching a movie in a dream-dream
The shadows have faces
But no one can see them
They move on a whisper, in the breeze
