Scans:
The first impression right off the bat are of one very nice, red-colored package that comes replete with an equally impressive sounding package inside. the 3-song disc is sonically superior compared to what we usually hear from local bands. The CD was recorded in Cleveland but was mixed in London, England by Bryan Chuck New, famous for his work with the Cure and Sugarcubes. The end result, outside of somewhat weakly mixed vocals at the beginning of the song "Fixation," are three songs that are ready, as is, for commercial alternative rock radio - right now.
Electrifying material with thought provoking lyrics -
"So what if we burn a hole in the sky/Turn our backs and cover our eyes/Only want what's been denied/Live our lives like we're never gonna die,"
sings Tom Lash in "Promise" - Hot Tin Roof has come up with a very good, albeit short, package that will be hard for A&R and radio people to ignore.
